Kaaviya Thalaivan is all about Siddharth and Prithviraj’s rivalry

With less than a week to go for the audio launch, director Vasantha Balan has revealed the important plot point of his upcoming film Kaaviya Thalaivan. He has denied rumors that the film is based on the lives of celebrated theatres artistes KB Sundarambal and Kittappa. “This is a film on drama and theatre artistes in the early 20th century. It is about the lives of two actors in a small drama troupe. The entire film is based on these two characters and the competition that exists between them,” says Vasantha Balan to a daily.

“Siddharth plays the lead role of Thalaivankottai Kaliappa Bhagavathar while Prithviraj plays his competitor, Melachivilberi Gomathi Nayagam Pillai. The film is about the competition that prevails between two equally handsome and skilled actors in the same age group. Both actors have the same guru or teacher, played by Nasser sir,” added Vasantha Balan.

Now coming to think of the teaser and the looks of Prithviraj and Siddharth, it appears that we are in for a fierce competition on screen soon.
