Kamal Haasan to start shooting for Drishyam from July 15

Kamal Haasan is currently busy wrapping up his comedy drama Uttama Villain directed by Ramesh Arvind. The film is slated for release in September. Meanwhile, the grapevine in Kollywood is abuzz with rumors that Gauthami will co-star with Kamal Haasan for the Tamil remake of Drishyam. However, there is no official confirmation from the team yet. It is said that Kamal Haasan will speak  Nellai dialect and the film is set in the backdrop of Tirunelveli.

“We plan to start shooting by July 15. We’re in the process of finalizing the cast and once we’re done, we will shoot at a brisk and complete the film as quickly as possible,” said director Jeetu Joseph who also helmed the original. If everything goes well, Kamal might have three releases this year since Vishwaroopam 2 too is also ready for release.
