Rajinikanth calls Randy for Lingaa!

It was reported earlier that cinematographer Randy aka Rathnavelu of Enthiran and Vaaranam Ayiram fame has been turning down offers that arrive at his doorstep. Now, the reason is revealed by the man himself in a daily. Apparently, he is working on a script and is planning to wield the megaphone for the same. But, not for now.

“I have been nurturing the desire to make a movie and I have been working secretly on a script. That is the reason I have been turning down offers from Tamil and Telugu filmmakers. But when Rajini sir himself called me to be a part of this project, I couldn’t say ‘no’ as I adore him and love working with him. I decided instantly to be a part of this film and put my dream of seven years on the back-burner,” says Rathnavelu.

“This film will be a commercial entertainer like Muthu and Padayappa. We recently did a look test for Rajini sir for one of the roles in this film and he looks fresh, chiselled and full of confidence,” adds Randy.

Such is the respect Rajinikanth has for Endhiran and it’s cinematography which we all adored.
