‘Naan Ee’ Sudeep confirmed for Vijay 58

As shooting for Kaththi is still underway, Vijay’s next untitled project with Chimbudevan is already taking shape. After Sridevi recently hinted in an interview to a magazine that she will be part of Vijay – Chimbudevan’s fantasy film, now Sudeep of ‘Naan Ee’ fame has confirmed that he has signed on the dotted lines for the yet-to-be-named project, now called by fans as Vijay 58. Sudeep has been paid Rs. 6 crore for the film making him one of the highest paid South Indian actors in a language other than his own. Also, this is the highest remuneration any Kannada actor has ever been paid for a film.

“It belongs to the adventure-fantasy genre. It’s a very well-crafted script and the first of its kind for me, ” says Sudeep. Some highly placed sources say the team is keen to rope in Deepika Padukone for the film and talks are already on. The film will be produced by Thameen films and Vijay’s long-time associate and PRO Selva Kumar.
