Impressive set for Arya’s next

Amarakaaviyam’s is Arya’s second production venture in Tamil. He made his debut as a producer by co-producing his blockbuster film Boss Engira Baskaran starring Nayanthara and Santhanam. Amarakaaviyam features Arya’s brother Sathya and Mia George in the lead roles. The first look posters of the film gave away that the film is a love story and a set in the backdrop of a mountainous location.

“It is a period film set in the backdrop of Ooty. We had to put in a number of hours to ensure that the backdrop suited the story, which is set in the 1980s. Art director Selvakumar, who was assigned the task of completing the set, did a tremendous job re-creating the retro look for the film,” says director Jeeva Shankar of Naan fame. “Amarakaaviyam will be an out-and-out love story from the retro period unlike by debut film Naan,” he added.
