Yami Gautham’s role in Gautham Menon film

Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum is a romance film infused with social elements. Directed by Prem Sai, a former associate of Prabhu Deva, the film is produced Gautham Vasudev Menon for Photon Kathaas. The film has been in the shooting stage for a long time now. It is a bi-lingual made in Tamil and Telugu respectively. Jai and Yami Gautham play the lead roles in the Tamil film and Santhanam provides the comic relief.

“The film deals with a social cause in a subtle way. I think this is the first time that any film will touch on this sensitive subject. The film has action, romance and humor, and so, when we address this social issue, it won’t look like we are preaching,” says Yami. She plays a saleswoman in a khadi store. “Being on the other side of the counter was a totally different experience for me,” she added. The film has cinematography by Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame Omprakash and has music by singer-turned-composer Karthik.
