Nagarjuna awestruck by Mani Ratnam’s narration

Looks like the ace director Mani Ratnam is all set to regain his foothold in the industry with his upcoming film. Actor Nagarjuna has finally confirmed his role in the film. The dashing actor says, “I’m getting ready for one of the biggest challenges in my career. Yes, I am doing a film with Mani Ratnam with Mahesh Babu and I in the lead. And it’s in Telugu. Mani gave me a 40-minute narration, and I was clean-bowled by what I heard.”

When asked about how Mani Ratnam was convinced to do a straight Telugu film, Nagarjuna says, “Actually, Mani has done another Telugu film ‘Geetanjali’ with me. I guess I bring out the Andhra side of Mani.” So, the film is full of positive vibes so far. It is touted to be an espionage thriller and has Mahesh Babu, Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. Having known Mani Ratnam, we guess he would make a taut spy thriller like Ang Lee’s Lust, Caution and not on the lines of Bond/Bourne series. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
