Lingusamy withdraws Inam movie

In an official press note by Thirrupathi brothers, it was mentioned that they have decided to stop screening of the movie in all theaters from 31st March 2014.  The press note is as follows:

“I always had deep love for tamil people and the soil, so far, in my personal and professional life. I will be so forever, feeling happy about victory of every tamilian across the world, sharing their sorrow and taking part in true protests supporting tamils. Now the “Inam movie issue” have created a untrue image which is like questioning my love towards tamils and Tamil Nadu. Because of my tremendous love towards cinema, I have been releasing quality movies without taking in to account the profit and loss in the past, Inam is one such attempt. Inam seemed a very important attempt in Cinema to me. But there have been rumors -hurting people’s beliefs and creating political squabbles, because of which I faced a lot of personal attacks and had bitter experiences. I am not afraid of any body or for any reason. But only because I care about the Tamils and Tamil Nadu, to prevent political misconceptions happening during elections, I stop screening the movie. Inam movie released by Thirrupathi brothers will stop its screening from 31st March 2014 in all the theaters currently showing. In spite of the loss this is going to create, I made this decision, only because I respect human feelings and the people.”

Here is the official press release issued by the Director/Producer Lingusamy..
