Velaiyilla Pattathari (Title Song) – It stays to the mood of the title. A bit of electro supported by good vocals make this one a fairly good number. Anirudh has a knack of delivering good title tracks. It is worth to mention that his previous track Ailasa Ailasa from Vanakkam Chennai is the most infectious tune he has ever composed.

Sunrise Theme – Anirudh’s love for violin continues. Though it is the shortest song in the album, it stands out and orchestrated well.

What A Karavad – Sung by Dhanush and Anirudh, this number has all the potential to be the youthful song of the album. It is a mix of class and kuthu in which Anirudh has always delivered. This song is quite reminiscent of Kolaveri. 3.5/5

Amma Amma – This is the most hyped song of the album, thanks to the evergreen veteran singer Janaki. It is poignant and well sung by Dhanush. The song captures the emotions of a mother and son and will linger in your ears even after you finish listening. A lovely pathos this one!

Smiling With Pain – As we already mentioned, the song thrives on violin and Anirudh’s arrangements for this number are commendable. We hope Velraj has shot this number really good.

Udhungada Sangu – A usual joyful number sung by the man himself. Though not impressive, this one cannot be overlooked.

Po Indru Neeyaga – Our PICK of the album. This one is a mellifluous wonder. Grand piano arrangements complimented by the soulful voice of Dhanush make this one a beautiful composition. The song will leave you wanting for more.

Ey Inga Paaru – Playful lyrics by Dhanush, Anirudh plays to the gallery this time. This one is the odd number out of the album and makes for a tolerable hearing.
