Ponniyin Selvan 2: Mani Ratnam to reshoot few portions for the film?

In a surprising announcement of sorts, it is being said that Mani Ratnam plans to reshoot a few sequences for the second part of Ponniyin Selvan which is slated for release next year. Though the director completed shoot for both parts together, he feels that there are some scenes that need to be reshot after watching the first edit of part 2.

As Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram and other artists from the film are already working on their next projects, it would be interesting to see how the director will bring them together and work on the pending job. More updates and the official release date announcement for the film are much awaited.
