Chiyaan61 to go on floors later this week?

Chiyaan Vikram, who is now done with the extensive promotional run of Ponniyin Selvan, is all set to get started with the shoot for Chiyaan61 later this week, according to sources. The Ranjith directorial is all set to start off with its shoot in Chennai, but before that, the team will be conducting a look test first.

The announcement on the female lead and other members of the cast and crew will be coming out soon. Chiyaan61 is said to be a period film which will deal with the real-life struggles of people in the mining fields back in time. The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash which will be the first time association with Ranjith.
