Yutha Satham Movie Review

Parthiban is the biggest plus of this free-flowing crime drama. Below goes our Yutha Satham Movie Review.

Yutha Satham is director Ezhil’s new try-out as he attempts a crime drama with the intent to thrill the audiences. The film has the director bringing together the combo of Parthiban and Gautham Karthik, in a film that has a murder mystery concept in it.

Parthiban is assigned a case where he has to find out the criminal who has committed a murder right in front of a police station. On the other hand, Gautham Karthik is a man who runs a detective agency, and has lost his ladylove who is the victim. The duo cross roads at the same police station, and are sent on a journey of questions and answers.

Yutha Satham tries to involve a backdrop of digital drugs which sounds new to the cinematic scene, but the film never properly explores the idea and only focuses on Parthiban’s character and his travel. There is hardly any big impact in the film, and Parthiban’s character completely takes the film forward through both halves.

There is a lot of comic angles in the way in which Yutha Satham brings about the narrative, with interesting one liners which bring out the chuckles from time to time.

Parthiban’s act is the best part of the film, and the actor carries his role in his usual ‘nakkal’ manner. The actor is well supported by Gautham Karthik, who plays second fiddle and is a neat fit to the role. The rest of the actors are decent and do the job fine.

Imman’s music is a plus to the movie, and the other technical factors are functional.

On the whole, Yutha Satham is a decent crime drama that has Ezhil in a new groove without realizing the full potential.  Yutha Satham Movie Review by Only Kollywood

Verdict: A passable crime drama highlighted by Parthiban’s fun-filled performance!
