Distributors association demands 8-week gap between theatrical & OTT release of Tamil films
Addressing reporters in a press meet on Friday, T Rajendar, president of the Distributors Association of Chennai, Tiruvallur, and Kanchipuram, alongside Mannan, the general secretary, demanded an eight-week gap between the theatrical release and OTT platform premiere for a Tamil film.
TR also called for a huge gap of 100 days between the theatrical release and satellite premiere for a Tamil film. The team has also announced thatĀ DarbarĀ loss controversy would be settled amicably in the next few months after holding talks with all the parties involved.
Another important resolution passed by the association is that distributors would buy films on Minimum Guarantee only after watching a special preview screening and assess the weight of the project.
