Pattas Songs Review

An eclectic and exuberant soundtrack that spells fun.

Chill Bro
Morattu Tamizhan
Jigidi Killadi
Pudhu Suriyan
Piriyaadha Enna
A Mother's Love

Chill Bro: Singer – Dhanush 👍

An absolutely electric and energetic number that gets on to you right from the first listen. Dhanush does great work as a singer, with Vivek and Mervin continously surprising you with interesting synths and sounds. Our PICK.

Morattu Tamizhan: Singers – Vivek and Mervin 👍

Though a better singer would have done a perfect job, the song has lot of things going for it, particularly the accessible lyrics and the beats. A really good track that could go to bigger heights with grand visuals. Our PICK.

Jigidi Killadi: Singer – Anirudh

A basic and free-flowing love track that has Anirudh’s vocals as the highlight. Though it does have the hangover of Senjitaley, there are some very enjoyable lines that make it enjoyable on the whole.

Pudhu Suriyan: Singer – Anuradha Sriram 👍

A lilting, beautifully orchestrated melody that establishes the mother-son bonding so easily. Anurudha Sriram is the perfect choice for the song, and it’s such a pleasure listening to her ace the high points. This is indeed a special track from Pattas that will go the long way. Our PICK.

Piriyaadha Enna: Singers – Vijay Yesudas, Niranjana

The composer duo flesh out a melodious love song that is elevated by the vocals of Vijay and Niranjana. There’s a simplistic approach to the song that reminds us of the Vidyasagar that we all loved, helping itself to sweetness.

A Mother’s Love: Instrumental

Based on the song Pudhu Suriyan, the instrumental portion could come in for some of the emotional sequences in the film.

This time, Dhanush gets a complete commercial soundtrack that has one song in every style, laced with energy and the josh of a big film as well. Vivek and Mervin have used the opportunity well with Pattas, and though some portions do sound familiar, this is an album worth multiple listens.  Pattas Songs Review by Siddarth Srinivas
