BJP is trying to paint me with ‘Saffron’: Superstar Rajinikanth

While speaking to the media after attending the inauguration of Raaj Kamal Films International office in Chennai, Superstar Rajinikanth said everyone is trying to paint him with the saffron image, indicating the BJP national political party.

“Making Thiruvalluvar wear a saffron stole is BJP’s agenda. I think all these issues are blown out of proportion. There are issues that are of greater importance which need to be discussed. I think this is a silly issue. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to paint me saffron, same they tried with Thiruvalluvar (Tamil poet). The fact remains that neither Thiruvalluvar nor I will fall into their trap,” said Rajinikanth boldly.

On the professional front, Rajinikanth is currently waiting for the release of Darbar, which is slated for Pongal 2020 release.
