Muthaiah says Deverattam is not a caste-based film; Gnanavelraja differs

To address the general perception that director Muthaiah makes films that glorify a particular community, the filmmaker while speaking at the press meet of Deverattam took to stage and clarified that this is not a caste-based movie. The film which stars Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan as leads is slated to hit screens on May 1st.

Muthaiah clarified that his stories portray strong relationships and people mistake it as caste-based films. Produced Gnanavelraja of Studio Green jokingly differed and said casually that Muthaiah is lying. Gnanavel also mentioned that it’s not wrong to make films on one particular community and took the example of his another production Attakathi which was directed by Pa Ranjith.
