Keerthy Suresh to play Queen Kundhavai Pirattiyar in Ponniyin Selvan?

After the blockbuster success of Mahanati/Nadigaiyar Thilagam, Keerthy Suresh has been very attentive about choosing her scripts. We had earlier reported that Keerthy is now in talks to play an important role in Mani Ratnam’s magnum-opus recreation of Ponniyin Selvan. Now, sources say she is likely to play the role of Queen Kundhavai Pirattiyar in the film.

Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Chiyaan Vikram are already said to be on board for the film, which is expected to be jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. AR Rahman will compose the music for the project, which is currently in the pre-production stage.
