Thala Ajith’s Viswasam outperforms Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta in TN on day one
Thala Ajith’s Viswasam has outperformed Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta in TN on the opening day. The Siva-directed film has grossed a decent Rs 16.6 crores on day one while the Karthik Subbaraj-directed movie has earned Rs 11 crores.
Despite the non-festival working day and no permission for special shows from the government, it’s an excellent number at the box-office for Viswasam. Distributors say the film is extraordinarily well in B and C centers whereas Petta is struggling to impress audiences there.
In Chennai and overseas, Petta is ruling the roost whereas Viswasam has taken a dominating stand in TN.
