Sarkar verdict: Writer Varun Rajendran to be appreciated in title credits for the similar core idea

Filmmaker AR Murugadoss and writer Varun Rajendran have arrived at a compromise in the Sarkar plagiarism charges. There will be no story and screenplay credit for Varun Rajendran. However, he will be bestowed with an appreciation letter in the film’s title credits for conceiving a similar core idea as Murugadoss ten years back.

The appreciation letter will reportedly appear for 30 seconds in the credits. Murugadoss has also trashed rumors that Varun will be given a credit in the story and screenplay by posting the screengrab of his title credit from the film, which reads – Story, Screenplay and Direction – AR Murugadoss.

Sarkar is all set to hit screens worldwide on November 6th.
