Party Songs Review

Review Overview

Cha Cha Charey
Thaen Pudhu Thaen
Kodi Mangani
GST
Kannampoochi

Colorful, lively soundtrack.

Premgi Amaren should continue doing what he does best – music. Party’s soundtrack is a very accessible set of tunes that has two superb songs that makes you want to go back to it. It is not just another commercial outing has entered grounds in an attempt to be different too.

Cast: Team Venkat Prabhu & others

Music: Premgi Amaren

Lyrics: Parthi Bhasker, Gangai Amaran, Karunakaran, Madhan Karky

Direction: Venkat Prabhu

Producer: Amma Creations Siva

Cha Cha Charey: Singers – Suriya, Karthi, Venkat Prabhu, Premgi Amaren, Kharesma Ravichandran

Though it comes with a glossy list of singers, including two of Tamil cinema’s top actors, the song is a decent club track and nothing more. The final 30-second portion is the best part of it all.

Thaen Pudhu Thaen: Singers – GV Prakash Kumar, Saindhavi

Has a striking resemblance to one of Yuvan’s songs in Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, but is still a superb song that works majorly due to GVP and Saindhavi on the mic, who prove their worth once again. Will repeated listens, the song still stays fresh and mesmerizing. Our PICK.

Kodi Mangani: Singers – SPB, Chitra

Successively, Premgi Amaren comes out with another winner. Drenched in a Raja-like tune, he also brings in SPB and Chitra to croon the track. Very few songs immediately take you back to the olden days, and this is one of them. Super work all round. Our PICK.

GST: Singers – Imman, Swagatha S. Krishnan

A plain, ineffective track. Everything is seen-before in it but for the first interlude.

Kannampoochi: Singers – Anirudh, Malavika

Feels a little usual at first, but then gets onto you thanks to Anirudh’s vocals. It also has a very interesting, mischievous interlude that takes you back to Missisippi from Biriyani.
