“Sridevi was one of my very few close friends in the industry,” says Rajinikanth

Superstar Rajinikanth addressed the media outside his residence to express his condolence for the sudden demise of Sridevi. He teamed up with Sridevi for a lot of memorable films such as Moondru Mudichu, Priya, and Jhonny to name a few.

“Our friendship dates back to 40 years before when she made her debut in Moondru Mudichu, which was my second film. She had an electrifying screen presence when the camera started rolling. Sridevi was one of my very few close friends in the industry,” said Rajinikanth who is expected to pay his final respects to Sridevi today in Mumbai after her mortal remains are brought to the city.
