Mersal hits another major roadblock; CBFC denies certifying the film

Thalapathy Vijay’s Mersal, which has been plagued by several issues, has hit yet another major roadblock. A few days back, the makers confirmed that the movie was certified U/A by the censor board.

Now, CBFC has confirmed that they have not certified the film yet since the producers are yet to furnish the NOC from AWBI (Animal Welfare Board of India) for animal scenes in the story. However, sources say the makers will resolve the issue today and an official confirmation will be made on the same soon.

Mersal is slated to hit screens worldwide on October 18th for Diwali.
