Theater shut down called off; all set to open tomorrow
The four-day theater shut down in Tamil Nadu has been finally called off, though a proper solution is yet to arrive.The theaters across the state will begin operations from tomorrow and continue to run previous releases including Vanamagan, Ivan Thanthiran, and Maragadha Naanayam since July 7 films have been postponed to July 14th.
Abirami Ramanathan has said that two six-member committees have been appointed on behalf of both the industry and government to discuss the entertainment tax issue. The movie tickets will be sold without entertainment tax from tomorrow.
For example, for tickets lesser than and equal to RS. 100, the new price will be Rs. 100 + 18% GST = Rs. 118 and for tickets greater than Rs. 100, the price will be Rs. 120 + 28% GST = Rs. 153.60
