Release of Rajinikanth’s 2.o postponed to January 25th, 2018

Raju Mahalingam, Creative Head of Lyca Productions, took to his Twitter page last night to confirm the postponement of 2.o‘s release date. The movie, which was originally planned to hit screens for Diwali this year, has been pushed to January 25th, 2018.

“Our most ambitious project, Shankar’s 2.0,shifts to 25Jan2018.It moves from earlier Diwali release to achieve world class standards in VFX,” he tweeted.

Directed by Shankar, 2.o also has Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in important roles. AR Rahman composes music for the project, which has Nirav Shah cranking the camera. The movie is currently in the post-production stage.
