Veera Songs Review
Review Overview
Mama Mama Mayangadhe
Verrataama Verraturiye
Nijaaru Usaru
Pogaadhe Kanmaniye
Oottanda Soltuvaa
Energetic, incredibly catchy numbers!
With Veera, Leon James proves that he is the right range with his music. It glows with a fusion of nativity and western influences. This is repeat worthy music at its core, and Leon might have just given the film more than what it would ever need. Top stuff.
Cast: Krishna, Iswarya Menon
Music: Leon James
Lyrics: Ko Sesha, Krishna Kishore, Late Na Muthukumar
Label: Sony Music
Mama Mama Mayangadhe: Singer – Antony Dasan
This is easily one of the best when it comes to mixing our ethnic sounds and a catchy pop beat together. Leon James is bang on with the music, and Antony Dasan does exactly what is required. Our PICK, straight away.
Verrataama Verraturiye: Singers – Sid Sriram, Neeti Mohan
Simply scintillating melody which has its transitions seamlessly coming in. Sid Sriram is utmost comfortable, even at the high points. Another PICK.
Nijaaru Usaru: Singers – Lawrence, Mahalingam
A powerful rock track, embedded with two strong voices. It doesn’t make much noise until the first interlude where Leon gets mischievous with the pipe. Tricky.
Pogaadhe Kanmaniye: Singer – Pradeep Kumar
Pradeep Kumar, who usually just associates himself with pathos and music-free melodies, is here for a quicker song. The backgrounds here are nicely orchestrated, and the chorus part is apt to say the least. The third PICK.
Oottanda Soltuvaa: Singer – Leon James
Probably for the first time ever, Leon James goes thara local with this super energetic kuthu track. Though his voice is relatively stylish for a song of this kind, the way the drop beats is just superb. A great dance number. PICK, if you favour these kind of songs.
