“I will receive the Techofes award for the next year too,” says director Atlee
Speaking at the Techofes Awards event conducted by the annual cultural festival of Anna University, director Atlee, who has fetched trophies for his back-to-back films with Raja Rani and Theri, said he will win the award next year too, clearly showing his sheer confidence in the ongoing project Thalapathy 61, which has Vijay essaying a triple role.
“The fact that I made a film(Theri) on women safety with a mass hero like Vijay is what makes me really happy. Women safety is a basic need. The women and children surrounding us should always feel safe. I thank Ilayathalapathy Vijay for this opportunity,” said Atlee.
” SJ Suryah is here. When I worked with Shankar sir, during the shot breaks, he used to ask me, ‘Atlee, what kind of films would you like to make?’, to which I would immediately respond saying, ‘A film like Kushi sir!’ I was blown away by his performance as an actor in the climax of Iraivi. I told myself that I should definitely work with him soon and it’s happening now,” he added.
