Right from his introduction Sasi Kumar carries the movie throughout with his expressive performance. You can see a well improvised Sasi in all aspects in Kutti Puli. Saranya comes as Sasi’s mother who have the highly affected care & her only world Sasi Kumar. She wants Sasi to lead a happy married life and doesn’t want Sasi to involve in unwanted activities which are happening in her village. But Sasi cares for all & does the need to everyone (like his dad, who was no more right from his childhood days) who comes to him. Then comes Lakshmi Menon, who lives in the same street where Sasi is. Sasi’s activities were impressing Lakshmi, whereas Sasi is a no way man when it comes as girls/ladies.
In a situation Sasi was trapped by his fellow mates and he was supposed to give a love letter to Lakshmi Menon. Lakshmi comes to know that this subject is no way related to Sasi. Hero’s impression towards heroine (accidentally) continues and then love blossoms for heroine. Baddies who wanted to take revenge on Sasi does an act then & made Sasi to fell down in blood. Lakshmi saves Sasi with her helpful act and then comes to know her love impact on Sasi to everyone. Does Sasi took the revenge on baddies and hold Lakshmi’s hands comes in the second half.
Sasi Kumar, Stunts & Dialogues are the major plus of the movie. Comedian Murugadas (Ghilli, Aadukalam Thadaiyaara Thaaka fame) sequence with Sasi Kumar were enjoyable. Lakshmi Menon who created an impact in her earlier ones is not used much in this film and no enough scenes to perform as well. Comes as a homely girl and worth mentioning here, she looks adorable! Saranya captures attention as a caring mom and a huge applause was seen for her act in the climax! Draggy and unwanted comedy scenes in the second half made Kutti Puli a lengthy one.
Overall, you can watch out Kutti Puli if you are a commercial entertainer lover & your one of the favorite is Sasi Kumar. Thanks to Udhayanithi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, who made this movie to release wide open. Kutti Puli will sure be a run way hit because of its grandeur opening!
