Bairavaa Songs Review

Review Overview

Pattaya Kelappu
Nillayo
Azhagiya Soodana Poove
Papa Papa
Varlam Vaa

An insipid soundtrack.

Except for the Varlam Vaa track, Bairavaa doesn't have the wow factor which we usually associate with Santosh Narayanan's music. It is a fact that his tunes are losing steam off late, and he should probably take a break to find his mojo again. Vijay deserves better music, but this might be enough for him to set the screen on fire and save the day, yet again.

Cast: Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay, Keerthy Suresh

Music: Santhosh Narayanan

Lyrics: Vairamuthu, Arunraja Kamaraj, Roshan Jamrock

Music Label : Lahari Music

Pattaya Kelappu: Singer – Ananthu

An outdated intro song, which has neither anything new or exciting in it. The draggy music and the mundane lyrics take it down totally.

Nillayo: Singer – Haricharan

A simple melody that functions well with maximum thanks to Haricharan, who is in complete control of the vocals. The string interludes and the violins help it stand out to an extent. Our Pick.

Azhagiya Soodana Poove: Singers – Vijaynarain, Dharshana

Xylophones galore in this pedestrian foreign melody, where slightly different vocals come to provide solace. Santosh Narayanan makes use of many instruments and synths, but still can’t pump up the adrenaline.

Papa Papa: Singers – Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Priyadarshini

Even Vijay’s charming vocals can’t save this uninteresting number, which bills itself on an old beat. We’ve come to the most sought out song of the album, which doesn’t pay off. A dissapointment surely.

Varlam Vaa: Singer – Arunraja Kamaraj

Peppy ringtone material. Santosh Narayanan finally comes alive to give the album what it needed, a generous brush of energy. Arunraja Kamaraj can’t put a foot wrong these days, and he continues his awesome form here as well. Terrific theme, our PICK.
