Kavalai Vendam Songs Review

Review Overview

Un Kadhal Irundha Podhum
En Pulse Yethitu Poriye
Nee Tholaindhaayo
Un Kadhal Irundha Podhum

Impressive, instantly lovable music.

With Kavalai Vendam, Leon James proves that he is one of the most exciting young composers in the scene right now. He manages to find the right balance between using EDM and live instruments, and has matured into a better composer since the start. The future is bright ahead for this guy, and here's an album you'll thoroughly enjoy, despite its pocket size.

Cast: Jiiva, Bobby Simha, Kajal Aggarwal

Music: Leon James

Director: Deekay

Producer: RS Infotainment

Label: Sony Music India

Un Kadhal Irundha Podhum: Singers – Armaan Malik, Shashaa Tirupati

What starts off as a simple melody turns into a peppy beat, alternating between the former and the latter with lovely high points. Leon James makes sure that he picks the right singers and gets the pronunciation perfect as well, resulting in a terrific romantic number. Our PICK.

En Pulse Yethitu Poriye: Singers – Inno Genga, Andrea, ADK

Club dance numbers are now becoming a rarity in Tamil cinema, and with this track, Leon brings out a whiff of fresh air. By getting Inno Genga and Andrea on the mic, the track gets a stylish twist, only to be minimized by ADK later on. Nevertheless, another PICK.

Nee Tholaindhaayo: Singer – Sid Sriram

Absolutely terrific melody, with Sid Sriram nailing the vocals to glory. The lyrics come in beautifully, drowning you in the melancholy. This is one of the better songs in Sid Sriram’s discography. Our PICK, surely.

Un Kadhal Irundha Podhum: Singer – Vandana Srinivasan

Vandana’s vocals are the selling point of this decent reprise version, which is simplified with light guitars and homemade sounds. For the slow song seekers only.
