Kuttram 23 Songs Review

Review Overview

Pori Vaithu
Mugam Theriyaa
Thoduvaanam
K23 Theme

Debonair music, fitting the mood.

Vishal Chandrashekhar who blew us away with his music for Jil Jung Juk returns with a nicely modelled album in Kuttram 23. The songs fit the stylish and suave feel of the film, and have just enough in them to hold on until the release.

Cast: Arun Vijay, Mahima Nambiar, Vijayakumar, Vamsi Krishna, Thambi Ramaiah

Music: Vishal Chandrasekhar

Director: Arivazhagan

Producer: In Cinemas Entertainment and Redhan – The Cinema People

Label: Sony Music India

Pori Vaithu: Singers – Vijay Prakash, Shweta Mohan

The album starter is an instantly likable song, which brings memories of the numerous hits of Harris Jayaraj. The overall feel of the song is very pleasing, with the vocals making it click. Our PICK.

Mugam Theriyaa: Singer – Ranjith

Typical, but still content. Ranjith does a great job on pedalling the power onto the mic, aided by some meaningful lyrics.

Thoduvaanam: Singer – Sinduri Vishal

A near-silent track which is mellifluously rendered by Sinduri Vishal. Might go places with the visuals.

K23 Theme: Instrumental

Vishal Chandrashekhar saves his best for last with this slowly grilling theme which brings in a Hollywood flavour. It has enough and more in it to arise goosebumps, provided it is used properly.
