Iru Mugan: Some Interesting Tidbits

The shoot of the Vikram – Nayanthara – Nithya Menen starrer Irumugan, directed by Anand Shankar and produced by Shibu Thameens, has been wrapped completely and the film is now in the final post production stage. There is some minor patchwork left.

The music would be launched in the 1st week of August in a grand event, while the film will release in September 1st week. We have some interesting titbits about the film here,

– Irumugan was totally shot for about 100 days in locations such as Chennai, Srinagar, Pahalgam, Malaysia, Bangkok and Phuket. Half the film has been shot abroad.

– It will be a simultaneous release in both Tamil and Telugu. While Auraa Cinemas would be releasing the film in TN, NKR Films will be releasing the Telugu dubbed version Inkokkadu, which had its teaser released by Chiranjeevi at SIIMA. The Telugu version has attracted the attention of Telugu stars, fans and the media, after the teaser launch.

– There will be 5 tracks in the music CD including one theme track by composer Harris Jayaraj.

– The trailer might be launched along with the music and sources close to the team reveal that the trailer will have a big surprise element.

– In addition to the lead trio, Nasser, Karunakaran, Riythvika and Thambi Ramiah are also part of the support cast.
