Iru Mugan plans for Independence Day weekend release

The makers of Iru Mugan are planning to release the film on August 12th to cash in on the four-day Independence Day weekend, according to our reports. The team recently completed a schedule in Pahalgam, Kashmir and will start the next leg of shooting soon in Chennai before heading to Bangkok next.

Vikram participated in the Kashmir schedule in his highly-guarded second look for the film along with Nayanthara, who reportedly shot some kickass sequences. Directed by Anand Shankar and produced by Shibu Thameens, Iru Mugan also stars Nithya Menen as one of the female leads. Harris Jayaraj composes music for the film.
