Samantha in talks for Tamil/Telugu remake of U Turn

Samantha has confirmed to Only Kollywood that she is in talks to star in the official Tamil and Telugu remake of Lucia fame director Pawan Kumar’s mystery thriller U-Turn. However, reports that she has acquired the remake rights are ‘not true‘.

Samantha reportedly watched U-Turn in a special screening in Bangalore and was impressed with the story. She has shown interest to reprise the lead role of a journalist played by Shraddha Srinath in the original, whose Indian distribution rights have been snapped up the Mumbai-based Drishyam Films last month.

Samantha is currently awaiting the release of two highly-anticipated films in Tamil including Vijay’s Theri and Suriya’s sci-fi thriller 24. Theri is gearing up for release on Tamil New Year day on April 14th and 24 is tentatively slated to see the light of day on May 6th.
