“Each character of Suriya will be versatile,” says Vikram Kumar

Director Vikram Kumar has opened up about his forthcoming science fiction thriller 24, which features Suriya in three different roles including five different makeovers. “To understand the title, you have to watch the film. The plot revolves around ’24’. I have made this film without any inspiration from Hollywood. 24 is a story of our people. The story has the potential to depict our roots,” says Vikram Kumar.

“Suriya plays three roles and will be seen in five getups. This experience is first for him. Each character will be versatile. For one character, Suriya used to spend four and a half hour for make up. You have seen Suriya as a good person in many films. Here the villain is also Suriya. He will be terrifying. Suriya has changed his voice and dubbed for that particular character,” Vikram Kumar adds.

24 features Samantha and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. The album composed by AR Rahman will be launched next month.
