Rajinikanth agrees to be part of Ponniyin Selvan drama

In one of the interesting measures suggested by Nadigar Sangam to raise funds for the construction of new building, Rajinikanth has agreed to be part of the stage drama Ponniyin Selvan, which will also feature popular actors and actresses. South Indian Film Artistes Association pegged the entire construction cost of the building at INR 26 crores at the 62nd Annual General Body Meeting held in Loyola College. Chennai yesterday.

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will be present for the day-long star cricket event which is scheduled to happen in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk on April 17th. The satellite rights for the event have been sold for a good sum of INR 9 crores.

The proposed building for Nadigar Sangam will encompass a thousand-seater auditorium, a preview theater, a large wedding hall, a small wedding hall, administrative office, gym and dance school. Nadigar Sangam is planning to earn Rs. 6 crores as revenue every year with the new building.
