AR Rahman aims to produce Tamil films soon
The first look poster of AR Rahman’s maiden production 99 Songs was unveiled yesterday and garnered praise from netizens. Written and produced by ARR under his newly established banner YM Movies, 99 Songs is touted to be a story of art and self-discovery and directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy.
While a section of media reported that 99 Songs will also be shot simultaneously in Tamil as 99 Paadalgal, Rahman has clarified on his Facebook page that it’s a Hindi film for now. “The movie is in Hindi for now, as the script is set in North India. YM Movies is also developing scripts in Tamil over the next 5 years and they will go on the floor when they are ready,” wrote Rahman.
