Anjali signs a women-centric film

Anjali has signed a women-centric film titled Kaanbathu Poi directed by Sarvesh. The film which is expected to start rolling from January 20th deals about the people who indulge in heinous crimes against women. Anjali will reportedly have a strong role in the film on the lines of Angadi Theru and Kattradhu Tamizh.

“Our film will be vocal against violence inflicted on women in our society. Anjali has a simple, realistic role in the film. She gave her nod as soon as I narrated my story,” says director Sarvesh. Anjali’s next immediate release is expected to be Karthik Subbaraj’s multistarrer Iraivi where she is paired up with Vijay Sethupathi.
