Visaaranai postponed to February 5th

Originally planned to hit screens on January 29th, Vetrimaaran’s long-in-the-offing Visaaranai has been postponed by a week to the 5th of February. Since four films for vying for Pongal including Thaarai Thappattai, Kathakali, Gethu and Rajini Murugan, a two-week window before the next new release is considered ideal by trade pundits, who appreciate the decision of Visaaranai team.

Directed by Vetrimaaran, Visaaranai features Attakathi Dinesh, Anandhi, Murugadoss, Kishore and Samuthirkani in important roles. The film is based on the novel series Lock Up penned by M Chandrakumar. Jointly produced by Vetrimaaran and Dhanush, Visaaranai is released worldwide by Lyca Producions.
