2.0 slated to hit Chinese screens in 2019
Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.0 is confirmed to release in China in May 2019. HY Media, which is gearing up for the release of Akshay Kumar’s Padman on December 14th, has secured the rights to the Shankar-directed magnum-opus.
The movie is expected to fetch the widest release ever for a foreign film in May in the Middle Kingdom. If 2.0 makes it to the mainland market before Mersal, it will be the first Tamil film to land in China. As of now, the movie has crossed the Rs 450 crores mark in worldwide theatrical revenue.
