Enthiran, which released eight years back, was the all-time highest-grossing film in Kollywood with a worldwide revenue of Rs 288 crores. Now, 2.0 has fittingly surpassed its record. The Saturday and Sunday numbers of 2.0 have been heartening everywhere with people thronging to theaters in droves.
2.0 is currently the third top-grossing Indian film of 2018, only behind Hindi blockbusters such as Sanju and Padmaavat. Rajinikanth is currently the only actor to have set industry records with various filmmakers like KS Ravikumar, Pa Ranjith, P Vasu, Shankar and Suresh Krishna to name a few.
