“We’ve not tried to endorse chain-snatching,” says Metro director

Director Ananda Krishnan of Aal fame is gearing up for the release of Metro, starring Bobby Simha and newcomer Shirish in important roles, on June 24th. Speaking at the film’s press meet, Ananda Krishnan said, “We have not tried to endorse chain-snatching. We wanted to create awareness on the topic and hence it’s been portrayed authentically on screen with details.”

“The violence in the film is justified. The screenplay demanded violence. I was shocked when the censor board refused certification. I was ready to take an adult certificate too,” he added. Now, the film is all set to hit the screens on June 24th.
