“We thought only Nayanthara would fit the bill,” says Jiiva

Speaking at the audio launch of Thirunaal, Jiiva said that the entire team is positive about the film’s success. On reuniting with Nayanthara on screen after nine years, Jiiva said, “Our first choice for the lead heroine was Nayan. But she was busy with her projects then. We started looking at other choices. It didn’t work out. We thought even if the project gets delayed, only Nayanthara would fit the bill,” said Jiiva.

“Thirunaal will be a memorable film in my life. I had lots of freedom while working on this project. I loved the script,” Jiiva added. Directed by Ramnath of Ambasamuthiram Ambani fame, Thirunaal is bankrolled by Senthilkumar and has cinematography by Mahesh Muthusamy. The album composed by D. Imman was launched yesterday.
