Vizhithiru Songs Review

Review Overview

Stay Awake
Vellai Irave
Papparappa
Aazhi Alai (Female)
Pon Vidhi
Aazhi Alai (Male)
Kolai Vaal

Passable fare!

Satyan Mahalingam's debut album blows hot and cold. While a lot of composers have lent their voice to this album, not all of them come out with tracks worth a listen.

Cast: Kreshna, Vidharth, Dhanshika, Venkat Prabhu

Music: Satyan Mahalinga

Lyrics: Subramaniam Nandhi, Tha Prophecy, Dhamayandhi, T Rajhender, Satyan Mahalingam

Direction: Meera Kathiravan

Label: Trend Music

Stay Awake: Singers – C. Satya, Thaman, Tha Prophecy, Sharmila

The album’s starter is not a bad one at all. Few good synths and some stylish vocals concoct this track which is a good listen overall. Our PICK!

Vellai Irave: Singers – GV Prakash, Ramya NSK

A pedestrian setup recieves is powered up by the superb crooning of GVP and Ramya. Neat.

Papparappa: Singers – TR, Priyadharshini

Old wine in a new bottle is this track, which reminds us of a ton other TR songs.

Aazhi Alai (Female): Singer – Vaikom Vijaylakshmi

With wondrous rendition by Vaikom Vijaylakshmi and some haunting music, this is truly the big winner in the album. Our PICK!

Pon Vidhi: Singer – Santhosh Narayanan

An underwhelming track which can’t be saved by Santhosh Narayanan’s lively vocals either.

Aazhi Alai (Male): Singer – Alphonse

Here is the male version of Aazhi Alai, which doesn’t excite you as much as the former. Decent, at best.

Kolai Vaal: Singers – Vijay Antony, Sricharan, Sunandhan

Another okayish tune in the soundtrack which has Vijay Antony’s voice as the saving grace.
