Director Atlee has revealed that Vijay dived into water from 100 ft high bridge without using any dupe for an important scene in Theri, which is nearing its final stages of completion. “We have seen so many police stories. I was thinking of a police officer who is emotional and so connected. That’s how Theri was born. Vijay Sir has put in so much effort to bring my story beautifully on screen,” says Atlee.

“Heroines should have potential roles. Like Nayanthara and Nazriya in Raja Rani, both Amy Jackson and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will have powerful roles in the film. Mahendran Sir’s character will be a never seen before strong antagonist role in Tamil. His mannerisms and gestures are meticulously sculpted,” says Atlee.
