“Vetrimaran had suggested Pugazh to me,” reveals Jai

Jai has revealed that it was Vetrimaaran who had suggested the story of Pugazh to him. After listening to Manimaaran’s script, Jai had felt that the film has everything to take him to the next level. RJ Balaji who plays one of Jai’s friends will be seen throughout the film.

Jai plays the titular role of Pugazh who hails from a middle class background in Ranipet. When their treasured playground is targeted by a politician for land grabbing, Jai takes him head-on. The film has Surabhi of Ivan Vera Mathiri fame as the lead heroine. Pugazh is released by Ayngaran International and is all set to hit the screens this Friday.
