Review Overview

Papparamittai
Kutheeti
Aaravalli
Ayyo Paavam

Music for the masses!

Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran takes the safe route of playing to the gallery with minimum lulls on its way. Sathya does add a bit of mischievousness to some of the tracks, for this is an album which would satisfy its target audience.

Cast: Vishnu Vishal, Nikki Galrani

Music: C. Sathya

Director:Ezhil

Producer: Vishnu

Label: Think Music

Papparamittai: Singer – Sreeramachandra

Sathya is known for letting his imagination go wild within the commercial space. Continuing the same here, he comes up with a romantic song composed solely with the men from the road bands during marriages. Pipes, drums and horns make up this interesting track rendered by Sreeramachandra. Our PICK.

Kutheeti: Singer – Sathyaprakash

A very basic melody which is nothing more than a passable listen. What helps you through is Sathyaprakash’s lovely vocals.

Aaravalli: Singers – Vaikom Vijaylakshmi and Mahalingam

Despite Vaikom Vijaylakshmi’s voice which is definitely a new flavour to a kuthu song, this song thrives on a stale  template. For the front benchers, maybe.

Ayyo Paavam: Singer – Jayamoorthy

Two-toned heartbreak kuthu which works thanks to the surprises it springs up. Jayamoorthy brings about a Sivakarthikeyan like rendition, this is a sure hit with the masses.
