“Vada Chennai will be entirely shot in slums,” says Vetrimaaran
Director Vetrimaaran, who has receieved non-stop applause and standing ovation for his film Visaaranai at the 17th Jio MAMI Film Festival, says Vada Chennai will be entirely shot in slums. “We are planning to start shooting the film from February. It will feature an ensemble cast and many heroes will share screen space according to the story. The film will be completely shot in slums and real-life locations,” said Vetrimaaran.
Visaaranai will be released in December and is going to censors this week. Lyca Productions has acquired the worldwide rights for the film. Starring Dhanush and Samantha in the lead roles, Vada Chennai will have music by Santhosh Narayanan.
