Urumeen Songs Review

Review Overview

Baby Baby
Hey Umayaal
Siru Nadai
Yaadhum Oorae

Scintillating soundtrack!

Urumeen is a scintillating soundtrack from Achu who showed a lot of promise with MPM. The composer proves that one can send out good soundtracks without being too noisy or massy.

Cast: Simhaa, Reshmi Menon, Kalaiyarasan

Music: Achu

Lyrics: Kavin, Kavin Amudhavan

Direction: Sakthivel Perumalsamy

Label: Sony Music

Baby Baby: Singer – Anthony Daasan

The album starts off with this not-too-bad track, which has Anthony Daasan’s voice as it’s silver lining. The music is something we’ve heard before, but the quirky lyrics are what make this worth a listen.

Hey Umayaal: Singer – Vijay Yesudas

With a catchy hook which is easily relatable, Achu makes superb use of Vijay Yesudas’ earthy vocals. Might turn up in the top tens pretty soon, this is radio material.

Siru Nadai: Singer – Karthik

How many times have we come across a melody that has its high point as an instrumental? Not many that I know of. Urumeen’s soundtrack has one in the form of Siru Nadai, with Karthik ruling the vocal department. The percussions and the tune interweave themselves beautifully, for this is track which will surely find it’s way into your playlist. Our Pick!

Yaadhum Oorae: Singer – Guna, Rohan Prakash, Kamalaja

Achu stamps his class with a healthy fusion of a peppy beat with heavy electric guitar. If you like this genre and the escalations in the first minute don’t bring you goosebumps, there are high chances you might not be from this planet. Go enjoy this one, don’t let it get buried under the other two melodies. Our Pick!
