Twitter Journey of Kollywood Celebrities: Slideshow Part 2

Though the number of users in Facebook easily outnumber those in Twitter, celebrities in Kollywood take to the micro-blogging platform to share their thoughts about their personal life,  update about their films and interact with fans mainly because it’s more user friendly and simplistic than Facebook. Additionally, though pages of various Kollywood actors are verified on Facebook, it’s handled by social media agencies in most cases. On other hand, film buffs get to interact with their favorite actors on Twitter personally since they are majorly handled by celebrities themselves, making it the most reliable platform for first-hand information on projects.

From our earlier slideshow analysis on the Twitter Journey of Kollywood Actresses, we gathered some really interesting information. Example:  Tweets which received maximum number of RTs for most of the actresses are about either Ajith or Vijay or Kamal Haasan. Unlike actresses who actively tweet about social awareness programmes like breast cancer and PETA campaigns, actors actively tweet about their films and at times, sports.
