“Thani Oruvan is an expression of my social outlook,” says Jayam Raja
Director Raja, who has made back-to-back remakes in his decade long journey in the industry, is gearing up for his first straight film Thani Oruvan written and steered by him. “I just wanted to prove that I wasn’t born only to make remakes. How long can I keep going backwards, I have to go forward,” says Raja.
“Thani Oruvan is an expression of my social outlook and the things that I find wrong with the system. In my film the hero decides on his own to destroy a man whom he picks as his enemy. I may do a whole lot of remakes after this but this is special to me,” explains Raja about the premise of the film.
Trade sources suggest that if Vaalu and VSOP are getting released on August 14th, Thani Oruvan will most likely get pushed to a week and see the light of day on August 21st.
